About the event
Learn how to identify them and appreciate the place of evergreen trees in our history
Locksbrook Cemetery opened as Walcot Cemetery in 1864. It contains over 50 species of tree, some unique in Bath. This walk will visit many of them, providing facts about each, tips on identification and insights into why we have valued some of them and brought them into our homes.
Cemeteries are always rich in evergreens, but winter is the best time to appreciate the bark, buds and branch structures of deciduous trees as well.
The walk will be led by Robin Barnes of the Bath Urban Treescape team.
All proceeds go towards printing further tree trail maps.
This walk is part of ReBalance Bath - Festival of Wellbeing 2026.
Accessibility
