"Second only to Kew" Tree Walk

A leisurely walk through Bath's Botanical Gardens

Bath's Botanical Gardens were laid out and planted in 1887 and are grade II* listed by Historic England. Several of the original trees are still to be enjoyed, now surrounded by other rare and beautiful specimens. In late November the Gardens will be quiet, and the textures of bark and tracery of branch structure can be fully appreciated. The evergreens in the Great Dell are spectacular at any time of year.

The walk will be led by Hugh Williamson, a member of Bath Urban Treescape.

All proceeds go towards printing further tree trail maps.

Accessibility

• The route is a mixture of paths, grass, and a few possibly muddy steps.
