About the event

A guided tree walk as part of the Festival of Nature 2026

This walk follows Bath Urban Treescape's Trail E, "Rob's Route", named for the late Rob Randall, who devised it. It links together a number of green spaces — Bloomfield Green, Willow Green, Moorlands Park, St Luke's Church and Alexandra Park — via residential streets lined with interesting trees.

The walk will be at a gentle pace, with frequent stops where Hugh Williamson, the leader and tree enthusiast, will identify and describe a nearby tree. Participants will be given a list of the trees we see — probably about 40 in all. A few gentle climbs are rewarded with several panoramic views across Bath.

This event is part of the Moorlands Park Community Day and the wider Festival of Nature community programme.
